As a motion designer working with Danske Bank, I am responsible for creating visually stunning animations and motion graphics to support the bank’s marketing and communication efforts. This included creating explainer videos, product demos, and other motion graphics to promote the bank’s products and services to customers. I work closely with the marketing and creative teams to understand the bank’s branding and messaging and develop designs that align with these goals.

Thrive Campaign

The Thrive campaign was a massive leap in terms of the work I did for Danske Bank. I had always been directly involved, but when this campaign started, the idea of motion was really pushed.

I worked on the design from an early stage, from DOOH (Digital out of home) to Instagram and TikTok.

TikTok recognised the ads as ‘high-performing’ and selected them to be visual in their business creative library for inspiration. This was a big boost to my confidence in my own work, which really helped moving forward.

Digital Out of Home

To showcase all of the animated work, you can watch the 2022 Showreel that I created. 2022 was a big year for pushing limitations and moving outside the box with Danske Bank.

As well as the Thrive campaign that I have talked about, there were a lot more that followed on from the benchmark that was set. This Showreel runs through all of the different styles and designs from throughout the year.

One of the other biggest challenges for me was understanding DOOH. This was something that I had never designed before. Understanding the limitations for what could be shown where took some adjusting, but once I got it, they quickly became one of the most productive workflows I had under the Danske Bank umbrella.

Branch Posters

Following the DOOH, something very similar was creating the Branch posters. They followed the same style but they had a lot more freedom in terms of movement. I was able to use full footage instead of static or subtle movement.

I really enjoyed creating them. My favourite two were the Christmas and January posters. I think the reason I enjoyed these so much was that I was able to see them a lot in person outside of the branch.
