Overview
A set of promotional videos created to support Rapid7’s 2026 Global Cybersecurity Summit, designed for both internal alignment and external marketing. The videos were built to generate interest, communicate value quickly, and drive registrations for the event taking place May 12–13.
The Challenge
Create two versions of a campaign video tailored to different audiences, while maintaining a consistent visual and narrative approach.
The external version needed to capture attention and clearly communicate the value of attending the event. The internal version focused more on alignment and messaging for teams, requiring more detailed or expanded copy in certain sections.
Although both videos shared the same structure and design system, the variation in messaging meant careful pacing adjustments were needed to ensure each version felt balanced and effective.
The Approach
The direction focused on building a fast-paced, message-led narrative that reflects the urgency of the cybersecurity landscape.
The structure followed a clear progression:
Introduce the evolving threat landscape
Highlight key challenges such as complexity and expanding attack surfaces
Position the summit as a solution-driven event
Reinforce value through speakers, sessions and outcomes
Both versions were developed from the same foundation, with messaging adapted to suit each audience without compromising flow or clarity.
Creative Direction
The visual style builds on Rapid7’s brand, using bold gradients, lighting effects and depth to create a sense of scale and momentum.
Typography plays a central role, with strong, direct messaging used to guide the viewer through the narrative. Key phrases are given space to land, helping reinforce the core value of the event.
Subtle motion, layering and transitions add polish without distracting from the message.
Story & Messaging
The narrative is built around a simple idea: the threat landscape is evolving, and organisations need to evolve with it.
Messaging focuses on:
The increasing complexity of cybersecurity
The need for proactive, resilient security operations
The value of learning from industry experts
Practical takeaways attendees can apply immediately
Both versions follow this core narrative, with copy adapted to better suit internal or external audiences.
Application
The videos were designed to work across multiple formats and channels, including:
Event promotion across digital and social
Internal communications and presentations
Landing pages and registration funnels
The shared structure also allows for cutdowns and reuse across wider campaign touchpoints.
Outcome
The final videos deliver a clear and engaging overview of the event, helping position the summit as both relevant and valuable.
By adapting messaging while keeping a consistent visual approach, the work supports both internal alignment and external promotion without feeling disconnected.
